Hartley is a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years' experience in residential and mixed use development, having been a Partner at Knight Frank in the London Residential Development team and as a shareholder and Director of BlackOnyx Group.

​​For 15 years, Hartley was one of the founding shareholders and a Director of BlackOnyx Group: a privately owned developer specialising in London and the southeast.  Developments ranged from 100+ units with commercial space in London, through to smaller high end developments in areas such Cobham and Oxshott.

​

Prior to BlackOnyx, Hartley was a Partner at Knight Frank in the London Residential Development Team. He worked on numerous central London and south east developments, ranging from large-scale mixed use regeneration schemes through to small high end boutique developments.  

 

Hartley has been a committee member of the Residential Development Agents Society (RDAS) where he was responsible for the curation and provision of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to the Society's members.
